● What is biblical hope?

1 Peter 1:3 – Born Again to a Living Hope.

John 11:25-26 – I AM the resurrection and the life.

● How do we relate to it?

1 Peter 1:13 – Grace becomes the object of hope.

● A Growing in Hope to Greater Assurance!

1. Growing Hope – Looking to Him – Future Aim (5 times 1 Peter 1:3,5,7,9 & 13).

2 Cor. 3:18 – Beholding the glory of the Lord.

2. Growing Hope – We are guarded by faith.

 1 Peter 1:5 – The power of God.

 Rom. 10:17 – Faith come by hearing.

3. Growing Hope – We are tested by trials.

1 Peter 1:7 – Trials point us to reliance on Christ. 4. Growing Hope – You are here!

1 Peter 1:8 – You haven’t seen Him yet you believe!

APPLICATION

1. Living Hope Produces Living Community

a. 1 Peter 1:22 – Love one another from a Pure “selfless” heart.

2. Living Hope Produces Living Sacrifice.

a. 1 Peter 2:19-21 – Our calling is to endure suffering while doing good.
